As co-founder and CEO of The Cirrus Group, Mr. Hutchison guides the day-to-day real estate operations of The Cirrus Group. His efforts are focused on maintaining strategic business relationships and the design and development of efficient real estate platforms that (a) enable physicians to benefit logistically and economically from enhanced operating platforms, (b) enable patients to enjoy state-of-the-art medical services delivery venues, and (c) provide communities with important healthcare amenities.
Mr. Hutchison is a career-long real estate developer. As co-founder of The Cirrus Group in 1996, Mr. Hutchison has focused his attention on medical and healthcare-related developments for the last decade plus.
Prior to forming Cirrus, Mr. Hutchison worked for Southland Real Estate Resources at its Las Colinas development where he served as Project Manager for the 400 rooms, 24-story Mandalay Four Seasons Hotel (now the Omni Mandalay). Later, Mr. Hutchison formed Trans Texas Investment Properties with which he developed over 1,000,000 sf of commercial office and retail space across the DFW Metroplex. Notable during this time was Mr. Hutchison’s landmark 500,000 sf, 24-story Trans Texas Tower (now Occidental Tower) in Dallas.
With Cirrus, Mr. Hutchison has overseen 76 medical development projects in 13 states including ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals, acute care hospitals, rehab and long-term hospitals, medical office buildings, primary care clinics, radiation oncology units, and other complex medical facilities. Included in this list are notable projects Park Cities Medical Plaza (ASC, MOB) in University Park, Texas; Trophy Club Medical Plaza (hospital, MOB, oncology) in Trophy Club, Texas; North Texas Medical Center (hospital, MOB, IRF, LTACH) in Denton, Texas; North Central Medical Plaza (hospital, ASC, MOB) in Dallas, Texas; and several hospital and MOB projects in Southern California.
Mr. Hutchison earned a BBA from The University of Texas in 1979 and a MBA from Southern Methodist University in 1980.
Born in 1956, Mr. Hutchison is a 5th-generation Dallasite. He continues to reside in Dallas with his wife and four children.
Mr. Dodd is a veteran of the global Cirrus medical development model. He is responsible for new business development, property acquisitions and divestitures, financing structures and the leasing and property management operations as related to Cirrus’ real estate portfolio. Additionally, Mr. Dodd has led Cirrus’ successful disposition of multiple medical real estate transactions with $1 billion joint venture equity, the largest health care REIT’s in the country.
Mr. Dodd has successfully created and maintained several important physician and hospital relationships including Cirrus’ ongoing relationship with Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Cirrus has completed a series of primary care-based medical office buildings throughout the D/FW market with Baylor as the lead tenant. His other hospital relationships include HCA, Vanguard, and Tenet.
Mr. Dodd is responsible for the financing and capital structure of all Cirrus real estate and The Cirrus Group corporate debt. He has structured over $750 million of real estate projects with combinations of debt, mezzanine financing and equity, with participants such as Bank of America, Amegy Bank, RAIT, and Regions Bank. Additionally, Mr. Dodd has structured property level joint venture transactions with CNL Retirement and Ventas.
Prior to joining Cirrus, Mr. Dodd had a diversified real estate background including his tenure as vice president for Jones Lang LaSalle in Dallas, Texas and Charlotte, North Carolina. In that role, he served as team leader in marketing third party leasing and property management services to institutional real estate holders across the USA. He has also been with US Bancorp as a real estate banker and has a broad range of finance and banking experience.
Mr. Dodd holds a BBA from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. He is also a member of several real estate organizations and holds a North Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma real estate broker’s license.
He lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.
Ms. Toland joined The Cirrus Group in November 2005 as Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO and the President where she attends to the scheduling, organization, and general day-to-day needs of the principals of The Cirrus Group.
Prior to joining Cirrus, Ms. Toland worked for the Baylor Health Care System for over 15 years. Throughout her tenure with Baylor she held numerous Administrative Assistant positions. For the 5 years prior to her departure from Baylor, Ms. Toland supported the Senior Vice President - General Counsel for the Baylor Health Care System.
Ms. Toland enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Clark has been with The Cirrus Group for over nine years. She is responsible for the daily office operations and assists The Cirrus Group with special projects.
Mrs. Clark is married with three children and two grandsons. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.
